The Pit Vipers were born in Spring 2024 in Portland, Oregon. Several players were adopted from previous teams coached by our staff. The name? A closely held secret.
Players who have survived each Pit Viper season, and have lived to tell about it.
Waylon is an unstoppable force who sneaks up on you with his patience, perseverance, and love of the game. Over the past two seasons, Waylon has grown to be a leader of the Pit Vipers on the field, on the mound, and behind the plate. He represented the Pit Vipers on last year's Minors All Star team and is currently playing for the North East Baseball Club.
If you want to see a player arrive, then watch tape from 2024. Elliott’s bat became the situation every game, scaring kids and parents alike with its sheer power. There was also the smiling kid holding the bat, ready to go every time. Elliott likes the Brewers, which is a shame, but there's time to save him.
Over the past year, Ronin has put his time and effort into becoming a true baller. He brings the fun to the dugout and is a secret MLB Show fanatic. He's one of the first players on the field to be ready every single play. He currently spends his free time playing ice hockey and taking pitching/hitting lessons at 503 Baseball.
The dynamic duo, back for their second Spring season.
Energy and drive define Declan, who never does anything slowly. He’ll catch a ball at short when he’s playing first base, and he’ll steal that extra base on what should’ve been a single. Declan is a twelve-sport kinda guy, so we’re honored to have him on our field.
Lead-off hitter and total go-getter, we’ve all wanted to make Thomas Creasy our second son. Well-mannered yet sneaky, sweet yet witty, Thomas brings light to the team through how he plays and lives life. But don't let that sweetness fool you. TC is one of our most competitive players.
Little brothers with big dreams, serious swagger, and a neighbor who wants to experience it all.
There’s no one more charming than James. He’s the gentleman of the team, the big-smiles guy, and the one who jumps in to help no matter what’s going on. He earned Rookie of the Year 2024 and it couldn’t have gone to a better kid.
His bat is on fire this season, so watch out!
To complete the Bordley neighborhood trio, or what we like to fondly call the “carpool kids,” we have former Gaffney infielder Owen Rangel. Owen is excited to be back on the field, and our entire goal is to make sure he finishes the season loving baseball more than Coach Sloane. Is that even possible? We’ll have to wait and see.
No one wants to be a Pit Viper more than Calvin. He stalked our Fall Ball practices like a tiger waiting to pounce. Eventually, we had to let him join the team because he made every single one of the coaches smile with his determination and desire. He may be younger than the other Pit Vipers, but he may also be the deadliest. He also keeps the dugout laughing with his jokes and antics.
One year of rest and ready to go.
After taking a year off to pursue other activities, we’re proud that Bob’s parents have been “gently persuaded” to get their son back on the field. Bob impresses everyone with the sheer number of spectators who come to see him at every game. He also happens to be an incredible athlete.
Blink and you’ll miss him, as Dylan can move. While Dylan played Farm A and AA with many of our guys, this is his first time as an official Pit Viper. We’re glad to have him back, and are very excited to see what he can do on the mound, at the plate, and behind the dish.
Lucky acquisitions from the former Minors team, HRCLL Bananas.
Noticed at evaluations for his well-timed fielding and chill disposition, we jumped on the chance to add Noah to our team. Throughout the season, he's impressed us with his quick bat and his ability to catch some of the fastest line drives we've seen all season.
Griffin lights up the field with his positive attitude and never-ending well of energy. He makes friends with everyone he meets and never backs down from a challenge. Like most of the players on our team, Griffin brings joy and enthusiasm to the field, and we’re grateful to have this former Banana on our squad.
After the draft, we received this gift.
Fresh from the Bay Area, Theo brings speed, smiles, and a quick glove. He's always ready to challenge someone to a race or see who can win the next contest. He's a great lead off hitter and a kind soul. We definitely see a great season ahead for this redhead.
