One of the hardest parts about coaching Little League is saying goodbye. The Pit Viper team is a family - we live, love, and laugh together, then accept we can't hold on too tightly. We're so proud of the kids who have played for us over these three seasons.
Players who joined us for three seasons - and hold a special place in our hearts.
Waylon is an unstoppable force who sneaks up on you with his dedication, perseverance, and love of the game. Over the past three seasons, Waylon grew to be a leader of the Pit Vipers on the field, on the mound, and behind the plate. He represented the Pit Vipers on the 10U/11U All Star teams.
Current Team: Liptak/Bass
Two seasons down... and more to go?
Energy and drive define Declan, who never does anything slowly. He’ll catch a ball at short when he’s playing first base, and he’ll steal that extra base on what should’ve been a single. Declan is a twelve-sport kinda guy, so we’re honored to have him on our field.
Current Team: Liptak/Bass
One shiny Spring season... for now.
Griffin lights up the field with his positive attitude and never-ending well of energy. He makes friends with everyone he meets and never backs down from a challenge. The joy and enthusiasm he brought to the field earned him a spot on our wish list for Spring -- plus congrats to him for being a part of the 11U All Star team this past summer!
Current Team: Liptak/Bass
No one wanted to be a Pit Viper more than Calvin. He stalked our Fall Ball practices like a tiger waiting to pounce. Eventually, we had to let him join the team because he made every single one of the coaches smile with his determination and desire. He also kept the dugout laughing with his jokes and antics.
Calvin plans on spending another season in Minors. We can't wait to watch him play!
Current Team: Childers/Pettey
Noticed at evaluations for his well-timed fielding and chill disposition, we jumped on the chance to add Noah to our team. Throughout the season, he impressed us with his quick bat and ability to catch some of the fastest line drives we've seen all season.
Current Team: Liptak/Bass
Fresh from the Bay Area, Theo brought speed, smiles, and a quick glove. He's always ready to challenge someone to a race or take his place as a lead off hitter. His parents also brought us a season of Pitty the Pit Viper, our first ever mascot.
Theo is going to spend another season honing his skills in Minors.
Current Team: Staton
Don't let that silence fool you; Damon is dialed in. A master of more than three sports, Damon grew as a pitcher and catcher throughout the season. Having known Damon since Farm A, it's no surprise that he puts an intense effort into whatever he does. The big question is, which sport will ultimately get to keep him?
Current Team: Gaffney
Quick and nimble, Cameron is a jackrabbit. He may seem stoic, but don't let that fool you, there's a sense of destiny with this one. Currently, he's opted out of baseball because basketball and football are calling his name.
Current Team: On Hiatus
After taking a year off to pursue other activities, we’re proud that Bob’s parents “gently persuaded” him to get back on the field. Bob grew over the 2025 Spring Season, becoming one of our best outfielders and pitchers.
He's taking the Fall off to pursue soccer (boo), but we hope to see him return in the Spring.
Current Team: On Hiatus
Blink and you’ll miss him, as Dylan can move. Dylan worked his way through multiple injuries in Spring 2025, a smile on his face the entire time. His good attitude and fast feet can't compete with his sneaky bat. Dylan impressed us all the way around this season.
Current Team: On Hiatus
A Flash Viper is a player who joined us for a single Fall season.
Nolan's pure athleticism and self-assurance are an asset to any team. Nolan has recently become what we all want our players to be: the type of guy who knows how to make adjustments. His determination to become a stronger player in whatever he does will serve him long past Little League.
Current Team: Liptak/Bass
We had the pleasure of being Maceo's first baseball season and team. Maceo is a natural learner, smart from the jump, and always ready to make adjustments. With future aspirations to be a shortstop and pitcher, we only expect good things as he continues on.
Current Team: Liptak/Bass
We had the joy of spending a season with Sterling and getting to know this one-of-a-kind kid. You think he's the kid who smiles his way through everything, and then he blocks a play at third like a warrior ready for battle. Sterling is early in his baseball journey, but we know we'll love watching him grow over the upcoming seasons.
Current Team: Caplener
Feisty, strong, and willing to try anything, Theo reminded us of the passion and fire this game brings to our lives. Theo will play any position with an intensity that is well beyond his years. He's also a Dodgers fan, so clearly his priorities are straight.
Current Team: Barron/Hardaway
For the first week of practice, Ky barely said a word. He watched, studied, and took in everything in his surroundings. Our goal was to make him laugh. By week two, he was tearing up the field and owning every position he played. His speed and acceleration in the sport are an inspiration to watch.
Current Team: Barron/Hardaway
