The dirty truth no one tells you as a child: life doesn't get easier. We just stop playing.
Play dies as we accept the responsibilities of the world: homework, housework, schoolwork, yard work.
Lots of work and no play makes Corporate Chad a dull boy.
Work implies blood, sweat, tears.
Play implies randomness, joy, and levity.
You don’t “work” baseball. You play baseball.
(Even when Tommy trips on the way to third.)
Baseball is a sport of failure.
Thank god. Because in this life we should be allowed to fail.
Strike out, drop the ball, trip on the way to first.
No one cares. We're here for every moment.
It’s the silence before the pitch (right after that annoying parent yells, "swing")
It's the pause before you step up to the plate.
It's the crack of the (USA-only, please) bat as you hit the double that becomes a home run.
Fortnite can't do that.
(And if it can, you need less screen time.)
Why do we play?
It makes us laugh. It makes us hope. It makes us give our all.
It makes us feel alive.
There is plenty of time in this life to work.
Come play with us.

P.S. Why a website? Why the celebrations? Because adults want to have fun too. And we love these kids.
